It’s also waterproof up to 10 feet so metal detecting in rivers, streams and at the beach is possible. Garrett makes excellent metal detectors for all types of situations. It is heavy so if you have back problems this detector would not be a good choice but it is well built to withstand the toughest of terrains. You will find more treasure with its advanced target identification feature. This allows you to tell the treasure from the trash.

The CTX 3030 has built-in speakers or use wireless headphones. Mark where you find your treasures with the built-in GPS. If you want automation you can switch to one of the 5 pre-set modes which make metal detecting a snap.

With the excellent notch discrimination feature, you can include and exclude certain metals you want to search for so that you can laser focus your metal detecting efforts.

The X-Terra comes with a waterproof search coil so you can detect it in shallow water and on the beach. The machine itself is not waterproof so don’t go doing any deepsea detecting with it but if you stay on the beach in shallow water you will be just fine.

This metal detector has both automatic and manual ground balancing something you usually find in the more advanced machines. With these two options of ground balance, you will get fewer false signals when detecting highly mineralized ground.
